To Whom it May Concern;

I am writing this letter on behalf of Krisha Moeller who is applying for a position working in educational technology. Krisha Moeller was a student in my animation classes at College of the Canyons for three years. While at College of the Canyons, Krisha founded the COC Animation Club, in which I served as the faculty advisor. Krisha is one of the most responsible and reliable students I have come across in my teaching career. As president and then treasurer of the COC Animation Club, Krisha completed all of the paperwork and recruited students to get the club off the ground. Although Krisha carried a large academic load, she managed to lead the club in many endeavors, including creating an "Earth Day Animation" which was broadcast on public access television. As the faculty advisor for the club, I relied on Krisha to do much of the work. She would take time out of her schedule to participate in a "club bash" recruitment event or bake sale, and was always the first person to volunteer for such responsibilities. I have been impressed with her willingness to take on additional work as well as her dependability. Krisha has always excelled as a student. She met all of her deadlines, and was a consistent "A" student. She understood that animation required dedication, and that it is important to network in order to succeed.

One year the COC Animation Club traveled to the Ottawa International Animation Festival. The club raised the funds for the festival tickets and the accommodations. Krisha was one of two students selected to attend an international television conference at the festival. While at the conference she mingled with producers from the international animation community. She did not hesitate to ask questions during the lectures. Several producers mentioned that they were impressed with her and expected her to succeed.

I am extremely confident that Krisha will succeed in any endeavor she chooses. When I left COC for a position at USC, Krisha designed a website for me as a gift (www.sheilasofian.com.) The result is a beautifully designed and practical website in which I am able to feature my work and sell my films. Krisha is extremely talented and adept with technology. The website has received many compliments, and has improved my professional presence online. Krisha is currently teaching Digital Art & Media at Da Vinci School of Design. As part of her work, she has been finding ways to utilize new technology in the classroom. An example of this is the digital learning platform she created, www.missmoeller.com. This website is rich with features, and will add to the students' education enormously.

Krisha is currently overseeing the development of a public digital learning platform for arts-based educators and students,The Free Artists Network (www.freeartists.net). which requires project management abilities, enormous research, and technical competence. It is with no hesitation that I recommend Krisha Moeller for a position as Director of Educational Technology for your district.

Sincerely,
Sheila Sofian
