MISS.MOE PRIVACY STATEMENT FOR USERS (BRIEF)

PRIVATE INFORMATION“Private Information” is deemed any information that is NOT visible to the public on a MISS.MOE user’s public profile, NOR on any public webpages associated with online courses/trainings, groups, forums, events, or comment threads. Private Information specifically refers to information such as home or business addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and grades or test scores.
MISS.MOE does NOT sell or profit from the transfer of our users’ information or data to third parties.
PUBLIC INFORMATIONNote that any content that users decide to publicly post (share) within their online courses, on their public user profiles, or in discussion boards, groups, events, forums, comment threads, and the like will be openly visible to various members of the public. Such information is referred to as “Public Information.” MISS.MOE cannot and does not guarantee the security of any information that is shared in such a way. Examples of Public Information include (but are not limited to) names, usernames, digital badges earned, user comments, and images, videos, and other media that users voluntarily upload to their public profiles, online courses, groups, and other community areas of the platform.
SERVICE PROVIDERSWe employ third party companies and individuals to assist us in offering, managing, analyzing, or improving our Service (like Google Analytics, for example). These third parties may have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
PRIVACY SETTINGS AND ACCESS PERMISSIONSMISS.MOE allows users to voluntarily post (share) information and media on their public profiles, in groups, in events, and within forums and comment threads within the “PLC” community and portfolio hosting/networking area of the website.
When making a “post” within the community or on your profile, please look for the Privacy Setting feature (indicated by a “globe” icon). This tool will allow you to control who on the MISS.MOE platform has access to your posts. Please note that by default this setting is set to “Public,” which means that anyone can see your posts. To ensure that the posts are accessible to only those who you wish to view them, you will need to alter the privacy settings on every post you make.
Note that information and media that is shared within the online courses hosted on MISS.MOE will be visible to both the trainer/teacher and the other students who are enrolled in the course. Grades/scores will only be visible to the instructors (not classmates).
Lastly, please also check the “About me” section on your MISS.MOE public user profile to review information about you that other users will be able to see. If you do not want this information to be made public, you can simply remove this information from your profile by going to your profile settings and making edits to your profile from there.
ADVERTISEMENTSMISS.MOE does NOT host nor make money from advertisements on our website.
MISS.MOE utilizes Google Analytics, a web analytics service offered by Google, which tracks and reports website traffic (for example, the geographic regions from which our users are visiting, the types of devices our users tend to utilize, etc.). Note that Google may use this data to contextualise and personalize the ads of its own advertising network (not affiliated with MISS.MOE).

DISCLAIMERThe MISS.MOE platform incorporates features that allows users to “follow” (subscribe to) and to send direct messages (“DMs”) to other users. MISS.MOE encourages users to take precautions with the type of information they choose to share with other users on the platform, and to also take these same precautions when sharing information and media on their public profile pages, in online courses, in groups/forums, and via direct messages.

Transfer of DataYour information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States and process it there.

Our Policy on "Do Not Track" Signals under the California Online Protection Act (CalOPPA) We do not support Do Not Track ("DNT"). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked.

Service ProvidersWe may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
AnalyticsWe may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services.
Children's PrivacyOur Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
