The Big6 Model
The Big6 is a model of inquiry that helps "anyone solve problems or make decisions by using information." This module will introduce you to the stages in the Big6 and provide you with examples of how to incorporate the Big6 into your classroom.
This module is intended for K12 educators.
Introduction to the National School Library Standards
In 2017, The American Association for School Libraries released a newly revised Standards Framework, also referred to as the National School Library Standards. In this module, you will:
- be introduced to the various concepts and definitions that you need to understand in order to use the Standards, and
- learn how to read the Shared Foundations infographics developed by the AASL.
You will check your learning by taking a short quiz after viewing the presentation and video.
This learning module is geared towards library workers in K12 settings.
